Hey there. Im not new to Firearms but I am new to this Comminity.

Im currently looking for a "micrometer" sight for my No.4 mk.1* rear sight and am at a loss looking for such an item. Ive seen a few butchered ones on ebay with the pin loop grinded and mangled but im still searching for one.

Let me know where you guys shop for this kind of stuff? Thanks

Hello. An experienced gent "Yeandle" with the No.4 has 2 Parker Hale 5C match micrometer sights for sale in the Parts section of Milsurps for sale right now. But if you want the standard service rifle sight E-Bay is the place to go. John T.

The Singer sight has the wheel for elevation adjustments, but it isn't a micrometer adjustment. The sight for the Cno7 .22 rifle used to be somewhat common. About 3 or 4 decades back, Blake Stephens fitted one to a No. 4 at a gun show for me. The markings were for 25 and 100 yards for the .22 , but it worked well for the .303 for me.The Parker-Hale No. 8 rear sight is windage and elevation adjustable and is rather elegant. It's quite scarce as it was only made for about 4 years until the 5C got into production. The 5C is the best of the lot for serious shooting, but a lot of pleasant shooting time can be had with most of them.

I have a small collection of enfields and PH sites I think I have 2 x PH5A, another unmarked sight that looks like a 5A, 2 x PH5C and a unique one a PH4.

But what I think the OP is looking for is the original Mk1 type of rear sight, they come around from time to time. I have a few with the rear aperture buggered up, I guess they really wanted a buckhorn type rear sight. With a lot of work these sights can be repaired with a bit of welding and milling.

Also, Redfield used to make an adaptor plate that screwed up to the left side of the receiver, and a 94 sight could be screwed on to it. No D&T required.
