Well I shot a nice 3 1/2 year old bull last Tuesday morning north of Terrace Bay Ontario - you will see that it only had one normal antler. The other antler was deformed and about the size of my hand. But you dont eat antlers!
It was a good shot about 200 yd across a bay on the end of a lake and he dropped in its tracks . It took us from 10am to 5pm to get it back to camp and hung. We had to gut it where it fell and then cut it in half and bring it across the lake one half at a time in a canoe. Then it was up the bank, into a trailer and up the road to camp where we hung it on a meat pole. We skinned it the next day and Dad and I took it to a butcher in Manitouwadge to get it processed. Now sitting in our freezers.
