Every time I buy a rifle they go on special or something else better comes out for cheaper. All I really miss was the cheap nazi hi-power that was on gunscanada, still missing one for my collection.
 
I missed a mint CNo4Mk1*T with matching REL + everything including transit case for $800 because I did not have the money (nor the experience to find the money) 12 years ago. This has bothered me ever since because I did not appreciate what it was I was looking at. I've been carrying that with me for years.
 
I had found the most gorgeous carbine. Was marked "Hong Kong Police" made by Inland Arms during 1944.

I took her shooting one day. It shot but the rifle wouldn't cycle.

Turns out some idiot had de-activated it!

A hole was drilled sideways across the barrel, poorly done I might add.

Anyways, I took it back for a full refund. I kinda wish I had kept it and waited to find a new barrel. Damn :(
 
My list is too long. We need to invent a time machine so that we can go back to right past mistakes.

About five years ago I sniffed at Lever Arms ad for three Garands for $399. Would have taken too much effort and money to make into hunting rifles. :redface: Please forgive me - that was before my milsurp epiphany.
 
I regret not getting an FAC 22 years ago, when I was first eligable. Just thinking of all the cool stuff I could have bought and would now be grandfathered for...

Hi

An Artilery Luger and all the trimmings. I did not get down to price negotiations but I probably could of got it for well under a G. I wanted a broomhandle at the time so I passed. Now I wish I had grabbed the luger instead.
