from the M14 clinic (thanks Hungry and Squibload) I got the idea that the op-rod sould barely "kiss" the gas cylinder.
How do I achieve that ....? My op rod touches the gas assembly ... the cast part that houses the cylinder that is!
Now what?
HELP!!!!

eltorro:

It's allowed to touch the gas system... In the DVD, I'm alluding to a match barrel and match gas system. If you have a stock barrel.... DON't do anything to the piston. Leave it alone.

So, if you replaced your Nork barrel with a Krieger, or Hart, or Obermyer or Douglas NM barrel, then we have to "time" the gas piston.

Please leave the piston alone, otherwise.

Cheers,
Barney
