Sorry for the stupid question, but what are BeoWulf Mags used for? Do they fit into a 5.56 AR-15? and are they like the LAR-15?

They are mags desinged for the ar-15 (all lowers) with uppers chambered int eh 50 Beowulf cartridge. I could be wrong but last time I checked the US coast guard used them. because they are made to hold a 50 cal round (5 of them in canada) they fit 14 rounds of 5.56 or .223. They fit and function well in a 5.56/.223 ar-15

how do they work with the 50 Beo rounds? I see many are going to single stack mags with a follower that centers the rounds because of reliability problems.

I have used them in my T97, they are really tight to insert and do not drop free. However, they do cycle perfectly as far as I've found.

No, you can use them in any AR mag based rifle.

Nice little mags for competitions. I have my doubts as to how long those plastic feed lips will hold out though.
