The Perfect C7 Cleaning kit.

I'm not sure it's perfect, but what I presently have in my vest is the issued one, plus a Bore Snake, small rag, and a small shaving brush. All of that is inside of a Ziploc bag that I've gun taped the complete exterior of.
Don't really need much more than that in a vest.

Never used a dentist pick, but it wouldn't have taken up much space.

I put mine in a toothbrush case, along with my small spatula to get the crud out of the bottom of the reciever, but thats just Gucci.

Another worthwhile doo-hickie is a tool I made for rubbing cleaning patches in the Locking Lug Recesses inside the upper reciever.

I made it out of plastic coated clothes hanger, and folded it in half to fit in the issued cleaning kit.

Cheers,

The CF kit is pretty good IMHO. All I ever added was a used tooth brush, small paint brush and q-tips or pipecleaners (which are supposed to be included). Each less then a dollar. :p ;)

I'm going to try the duck tape inside a ziplock bag trick might be useful for other things as well.:)

AR Cleaning kit

I have the section cleaning kit and the C7 butt cleaning kit for my SP1. I never use dental picks on my guns if I can help it. I go to the dollar store and buy wooden shiskabob skewers for digging crud out of corners. They don’t scratch the finish and if it gets dull break out the jack knife and sharpen it.
I have been cleaning my guns with them for years, and if there is a build up of carbon, soak it with solvent and then try it.
