I own four .35's actually... I just sold off the .35 Rem and .358 NM... I still have a .358 Win, .35 Whelen and two .350 Rem Mag. Finding the .350 RM loading gear only took a couple weeks... I now have 600 pieces of New R-P .350 Rem Mag brass and the same in 6.5 RM... it is out there and worth the hunt, I love my short Rem Mag's.

Believe you live in a area with many thousands of people and some gun stores. The only store here had three....three cans of powder, no extra charge for dust.

I did see dies and some brass, after i sold the rifle. It was a unicorn in perfect condition, i prefer rifles with some dings, that i can scratch further, without spending a grand for the first walk.

The 425 Stevens rifles aren't the only ones I've owned in 35 Rem, also had a couple Savage model 170 pumps in 35 Rem which no longer grace my safes. Great guns but kinda loose and rattled. Also own a Savage 99R in 358 Win.

I’ve got a JM Marlin and a 1912 Remington Model 8 in .35. Both are fun guns, the Remington especially.

Once you have the Whelen, it's just a short step to the Nine Norma.

I admit, I am a rookie (had to look up Nine Norma), but that looks like a serious moose cartridge!

Indeed, it is good everything cartridge!

250 gr spitzers at over 2800 fps shoot flat and hit very hard.

I don't think they did . I seem to remember looking at them in Gun Digests catalogue back in the day , the carbines were 30/30's ............... I also had a lot of fun in the seventies , so further research may be required .

Too bad, I always liked the look of those carbines, but have heard that the guns function well in 35 rem but not so much in 30-30

A guide up here, the son of a friend of mine, packed his Marlin RC 35 Rem for years. It was never "not enough" gun.

I bailed on the .35 Rem... Just not enough powder for me... Myb.35's start at .356 & .358, on through .35 Whelen, .350 Rem Mag and .358/375... They are all great game cartridges... The .35 Rem can be as well, just less versatile.

Had an American deer hunter in camp one year with a custom super light bolt action in 35 rem. Was ideal for hunting over bait and I was surprised by its recoil. He dropped his deer in its tracks

H4831 talked me into the Marlin 336 in 35Rem a few years ago and I am thankful that he did. By far my favorite rifle/cartridge combo I have. And Ted got me on those big Speer 220's. Mine will be with me next week bear hunting!
