Could be cool to see where these norincos are at. Not that it matters- as I'm learning it "aint no thang" and helps when you drop your gun in the mud on the first day of the zombie apocalypse.
Perhaps include the method you used to find it.

Automotive feeler gauges and a 308 no go gauge.

1.641 ish

EDIT- 1.638 Mic'ing fired cases.

My Nork was .010" over the no go.

Reloaded cases were too hard and would separate the case from the head. New cases were fine though because the brass was still soft.

5 thou or 1.635"

That is 5 thou above the SAAMI GO gauge of 1.630" since I dropped in, test fired , and mic'ed the brass using different Norc bolts.

Remember, send me 3 pcs of fired brass from your rifle in a small padded envelope and I will PM or email your chamber dimensions back to ya...

Cheers and thanks,

Barney

Hungry checked some brass I sent him. All three were 16 thou over no go gage. This after some 600 or so rounds. Rifle shoots good, the brass and primers look fine....

According to folks here it seems "all good just shoot it" :)

I'm thinking because there haven't been any instances of problems with norcs n ammo blowups? I wanna know what the dudes with massive chambers are shooting.

16 thousandths is over 7.62 field reject. Interesting!

I have shot mostly Federal blue box 150 gr soft point from Cdn Tire, a bit of Federal Match grade 168 gr, some old CCI stuff and am presently about 1/3 of the way through a brick of FMJ or what ever it is called from Russia!! Like I said, no issues. No miss fires or fail to cycle, no exploding brass... Maybe around 600 rounds thus far.
