... He just leaves a sticker on the door, then takes my package back to the post office and makes it "hang out" with cosmetics from the Shopping Channel, and double order's of Vincents Sham-Wow.... Thank goodness I had a rescue ops plan already in place... phew!
Now, for the reveal...
The FS2000 has landed... Pictures do not do the carbine justice. It looks much better in person than in photos. It's light, balances very well, and the construction/design are A1. What a funky system for expended case management...me likes... It doesn't seem bulky at all in the hands, and shoulders very well. I choose the standard version to help defer the cost of another "black gun optic". The view through the factory glass is good, and who knows, I may not change it. Nonetheless, there exists a nice sized factory rail beneath the optics cover, so adding something different shouldn't be an issue.
The barrel has been stretched into "non-restricted" status by the wonderful wizard at Herron Arms (shameless plug), and it looks amazing. Ian's work is always outstanding, and I've recommended him to everyone who want top notch custom work done.
The cleaning kit that is supplied with the gun looks like a high-end AR kit... some special little tools for something - haven't read the manual yet, but sure, why not... Also had these cool little bear cards in the box (next shameless plug) from Dan at Kodiak Outpost. Another wonderful person and company to deal with!
I'll post a range report once I get a chance to put some rounds down the barrel... if anyone's interested...
Now I have to read a stupid manual, and get the Tavor's ready for their new roommate in the safe - Kinda an Israeli / Belgian three-way... eeeks...
