At my stand site, over the past two weeks the activity has increased significantly. There are numerous rubs and lots of other sign. I have'nt seen any scrapes yet but they should start soon. If the saying that the bigger the rub the bigger the buck is true, I should be seeing a couple of bruisers this fall. 30 feet from my stand is a poplar about 4 or 5 inches across, it's been peeled right down to the wood, and in the immediate area there is a bunch of saplings rubbed well too.
I already have a freezer full of elk and moose so the only thing my arrow will hit will be a big-un. Or nothing at all. I surely don't need the meat but I would like a trophy to hang on the wall.
