The price of refurbishing a Red gun

Imagine having a beat up, worn out M44 from Colector Source and ask a gunsmith to change the barrel, and worn parts, refinish the wood and reblued the steel how much will be the bill?? And is the same for a beat up SKS.
Thanks to the cheap labor and parts in the Soviet Union for our Red rifle refurbished like new for almost nothing.

My uncle paid to get one refurbished(High sentimental value rifle) it cost him $1200, it was in very rough shape and needed a new barrel, gas tube, piston, some small parts. Turned out beautiful, shoots 3MOA, smoothest SKS I have ever handled.

However my new SKS from corwin arms looks just as good, also shoots 3MOA, and cost me $220.
