I just made up this shooting rest with parts from Princess Auto. Got the idea from Shooter's Ridge. Fully adjustable front and back, still working on a small sandbag for the front, just a pad on it for now. Total cost $40 :D What d'ya think?

Nice

I like the zap strap on the foam up front!

With a modified rear piece and some lead shot bags you could turn it into a lead sled for heavy loads.

lol i can see a trip to princess auto in the near future the one in ottawa has burgers when they start sales i was like waaaahhhh but there where all out so i whent to licks which happend to be a block away from the dmv where i needed to go to replace my driverliceance which is at the bottome of a lake some where in canada with the rest of my wallet

any ways nice build can we mear mortals get a parts list

Nice, I bought a 2nd hand car jack at a yard sale for that once, but I'm not a welder and never did anything with it.

I like the forend rest on the jack.

I think I'll do that.

The main beams are 24" pieces of thick-walled 2" steel tubing, the rear post is 5" piece of 1.5" tubing. I carved down a piece of 2x2 wood until it fit tight into the rear post and hammered it in. Then screwed in the rear fork.

Front legs are suction cups with a nut inside, bolted on from the inside of the tubing. Rear leg is an adjustable leg of a washing machine, with the hole threaded in the tubing, to screw it in or out.

Other than that, just welded everything together. The screw jack was on sale for $10. Its rated for 2 tons, so it should hold up my guns:D

I'm still looking for something to use as a front bag, maybe a bean bag or something:confused:

thanks for the replies:)
