Its a VZ-26 ....built in 1926 ...the UZI was designed based on the VZ-26
I don't think esthetics were a priority back then.

I would get one of those for sure. As far as prohib goes, if it fires using an open bolt you can forget about it because of the ease of conversion to full auto. As long as it fires from a closed bolt and the reciever can't accept full auto parts I see no reason why it wouldn't be restricted. Someone with the $$ should import one and put if before the RCMP for a ruling. K100 would be able to tell you everything about it as he is the owner, I believe, of GrandPower and is a member here. PM him and see what he says about it.

Unless it's really well-priced, I think I'll pass. I'd rather buy a K100.

Ease of conversion is not an issue. If they start with fresh receivers and are not converted autos then they are considered commercial varients and they are good to go.

I hope they do come in and are reasonabley priced.
It would be nice to have another member off the Czech arms family in the house. Already have the CZ-52, working on a VZ-58.
All I would need would be the Czechoslovak Warsaw Pact uniform to go with them. :) :)

Nice! The more Kanada-compatible firearms the better. Kinda looks like the Beretta M12. I wonder which influenced which?

the RCMP doesn't look at the open/closed bolt issue. just wether on not the gun ever was a full auto gun before sold to you. the open bolt thing is a US BATF thing.
