I was just curious as to why you bought your last handgun.

For: to good a price to pass?
look cool factor?
training?
"I never owned one in this caliber before"
IPSC / action shooting sports?
zombies?
incurable collector?
"limited run, had to get it before they are gone"?
it was what I could afford at this time?

Just curious...

I bought my S&W 686 just cause I thought it looked cool. Traded in a Norinco NP-29 plus some cash, and wanted to get a quality (ie: keeper) firearm.

Plus, it was my first revolver, and one of the few that I think looks cool. All those damn half-lug or no-underlug revolvers look retarded...

I have a wartime P.38 that I can't shoot anymore, I liked the feel of it so much that I had to get a Walther P.1 that I could actually shoot. The price on the P.1 was a plus too, but when people ask I just tell them that I needed another 9mm to finish up the 50 rounds of ammo I had left over. No use letting it go to waste. :p

I bought a 38 s&w Webley because they're cool, and inexpensive. My XD was
bought for fun. I'm more of a milsurp guy anyway.

I actually went to the store intending to buy a Fabarm shotgun. But then I saw a Smith 686 and it was love at first sight :D The Fabarm will have to wait.

I just ordered a CZ SP-01. I really needed a 9mm. I mean, really, "Nine"? I haven't felt right since I traded my last 9mm. :?

AND because I can, because I want to, and because it looks cool. And the ammo is cheaper than 45. And I've really been worried about that whole "zombie thing" lately.

The best replies will be used to convince my wife just how much I NEED (insert next handgun here) another "investment :p

Good stuff
