The Remple Bi Pod Info Needed, Please.

Henry Rempel

Lives in Calgary

You could probably Canada 411 his name for his phone number ;) (8416)

I don't believe Jerry has met Henry, though I could be wrong :D

Here's a few pics of mine. I wouldn't be caught without it.
Check out http://accurateshooter.wordpress.com/2008/11/27/canadian-ski-bipod-for-f-class-shooters/ as well. My pics were featured in the article.

CyaN1de,
What sort of camera do you have? You don't often see tack sharp images with the undesirables photo-shopped out around here.
My first post was a shot in the dark. I just remember Jerry mentioning the builder somewhere along the way.....

You're right though...looks too nice to be something Jerry would shoot with! His stuff shoots good. but generally looks like well......:puke::LOL

Sorry Jerry! :D

I just picked up a Sinclair Gen 2, and it's light- I hvan't weighed it yet, but I'm betting it's not much more than my harris.
Having said all this, Dale R. pretty much rebuilt the legs on his Remple and saved a significant amount of weight- I just can't remember how much.

Paul Reibin of Range Sports Unlimited in Kamloops distributes these for Henry as well as the adapter plates.

If you go to my website and then the links page, you will find all Paul's contact info.

There is an outfit in the US that is now making a clone of these bipods ising composite materials over a lighter skeletal frame. I think it is a rip-off of Henry's fine design, but my only complaint about these outstanding bipods is the 3 pounds ten ounces that the bipod and adpater plate weigh. I have just taken mine off the digital scale for you.

The beauty of Henry's design is that you can reach out with one hand and adjust the cant and/or height ... which means you keep your eye on the scope while you reach out with your off hand to make adjustments. Quite slick. Weight is an issue, but Henry was not looking at a light weight design - he made something that he liked for himself (based on a car front end wish-bone design) and others asked for a copy.

There is some critism that it's heavy (and do I have my own suggestions on how to make it lighter). My flippant response is "so try buying a lathe and do it yourself" (for me, I'll just bite my tongue). I really like it, after shooting with a Harris for a few years.

I have one of Henry's stock's in my garage awaiting a build. He told me that he built it for function....not form, so you can imagine how far off from a Robertson stock it is in the looks dept. :D

His Bipod was built the same way....for function. The fact that it looks awesome is a plus.

I hope folks don't think I was critisizing Henry's equipment. I would dearly love to use one, but my rifle is too heavy to make weight w/ a Remple aboard.
