Hey Guys;

I was particularly blessed to recently purchase a Ruger RSM in 375 H&H from a collector that had only fired it 7 times.

For me, it is hard to describe how the arrival of this rifle makes me feel... It is the rifle I will take to Africa one day.

I have always said that I am a man of modest means, and this Ruger RSM in 375 H&H is a rifle that incorporates expensive features into it like folding rear leaf sights and Circassian walnut, while remaining 'affordable' for most.

Tonight I am raising a glass of 18 year old single malt Glenlivet & saying a little prayer that I will live long enough to see Africa & fulfill my lifelong dream of a safari with my beautiful wife.

Cheers
Jay

Jay, believe it or not, as we speak, I am topping my RSM in .375 with a vx3 in 1.5 - 5...... Both procured from Hoytcanon........ I will have pics for you shortly...... I completely share your excitement.......

Awesome! I am going to scope this rifle as well, likely with something similar if not the same! Just need to recover a bit from the sticker shock of buying a nice rifle when I wasn't expecting to... Chuckle!

Cheers

Odd Jay...... I am literally in the process of balancing out the rings........ Lol.....

I must admit..... It is certainly the "crown jewel" of my collection.......

Some "before" pics.....

Congratulations, Jay!
I hope that you get to realise your dream soon.

As for glass, I mounted a Trijicon 1-4 with green iridescent triangle on my 404 Jeffrey and one with a red triangle on my Ruger RSM (.416 Rigby). The Ruger RSM is a fabulous rifle and very easy to shoot in .375 H&H (mine went to Africa in 2011). If you're ever in Edmonton you are welcome to come over to see the video of it "doing what it does best".

Thanks A-zone! I was thinking Leupold, but will look at the Trijicon now that you mention it!

So, for you guys that have been on a trip, or are looking into it, realistically what is the cost?? Can you get your trophies home without too much to-do??

Congrats, may your dreams of Africa come true in your near future. Something special about a .375 H&H. Mounted scope this weekend, Leupold VX2 2-7X30. Will be used on Moose this fall.

Congratulations on taking the next step towards seeing your dreams fulfilled. All men die, but few men live, and the older we get the more important it becomes to have the memories of a life well lived.
