The Robinson Armament XCR-M, SCAR Killer?

Epoxy7,
when accuracy is as good as 5/8 sub MOA I am not really sure what you mean when you say it'll be interesting to see how this platform progresses...
Perhaps, 5rds in exact same hole wouldn't be enough accuracy for some folks lol. What further progress would you like to see (except for the trigger options which they're tackling as we speak).
The 5/8 of an inch sub MOA accuracy at 109 yards (100 meters) beats many bolt action rifles made for nothing but insane precision.
Just read part 3 again, and see how far has XCR gone already, find me a battle rifle capable of such accuracy with factory match ammo (although Stag's accuracy is same or better), but imagine what insane accuracy could be further improved upon if you loaded your own ammo, a pet load that particular XCR liked?
Not to even mention again its ability to shoot reliably after been fully submerged in water, soaked in mud, dirty and shoots well after hundreds of rounds fired without cleaning...

Really nice looking rifle. Great features.

If you want to discuss what I consider the pros/cons then start up a thread not in the dealer's forum. I have nothing but positive things to say about Wolverines supplies and don't want to interfere with their forum.

Epoxy7,
every time someone makes a comment in this thread it actually marks the thread as active which automatically moves it up and increases its visibility, which in turn helps members who just logged in to see whats new, I see no greater support for this thread (started by Wolverine Supplies) than by keeping it active and commenting about the thread's main topic, XCR-M.
Maybe I am wrong thou, but my passion for this incredible platform makes me wanna speak about it.
If by any chance Wolverine Supplies find commenting to be counterproductive to their purpose, please chime in and let us know that comments aren't welcome and I will stay out of discussions and/or commenting here.

We are not in the business of censoring respectful conversation here.
There is no one firearm that is perfect for everyone. We felt it was worth posting this recent review which highlights the latest version of this platform and what they have morphed into today. Any negative reviews are typically the older generation. The accurizing that Alex has brought to the newest generation of the M and the L rifles has not been shouted from the rooftops. That's our fault. We have known about the upgrades for well over a year. I bet any negative reviews have not been of the latest rifles.
If you are on the fence or dismissed this platform in the past, maybe time for another look!

I’ve owned Two L keymod ,5.56 and both were just under MOA shooters.

If not for the MV,MS options available, these would be my next choice.

When we tried the new 1:8 SS barrel we were so impressed with the improvement in accuracy we actually disassembled all the rifles in stock, sent the old barrels back to RA and bought the new barrels and reinstalled

What is this accuracy upgrade for older models?

Hello,

I have a older model XCR-M in .308 Win. that received accuracy enhancements from Robinson Armament. I believe the barrel is not always replaced, but the muzzle break & gas system are. The brake is now a three bafel per side gill style brake. Parts of the trigger assembly were improved for sure...not positive on a complete replacement as they look the same but perform substantially different.

The accuracy now is as good or better then I'm able to shoot. I addressed my concerns in email, out lined my testing process, ammo. used as well as optics etc. & that all components and torque specs. documented prior to my process. RA's communication was minimal single reply but very efficient and professional agreeing with my summation it could do better and included a service # and referral to Wolverine Supplies. Wolverine Supplies communication was perfect and a pleasure to work with.

I received the rifle back with a note of what was checked...basically every thing. What was replaced and worked on & a target with either a 3 or 5 round (can't remember) group of just around MOA. The turn around time was about a month.

I would highly recommend you contact Wolverine Supplies. I put the XCR-M after accuracy process in the same league as my Armalite DnD AR10. Basically the rifles shoot better then I can. Not saying though that they are equivalent as they are not....that AR is next level...I just can't shoot a semi auto well enough to experience the difference. My point is the XCR is a shooter! & the accuracy process is worth going through and achieves great results.

I don’t see what the brake or gas system has to do with accuracy.

I found that barrels and triggers were the issues with my rifle( AR 10)

Once I changed those two parts , my rifle went from 1 1/2- 2 MOA , down to .8 - .9 MOA.

My understanding is that the brake was found to be too aggressive causing the gas tube to interfere with the handguard. By a slight change in the gas tube and modified brake the accuracy has been enhanced.
