I think watching the EE is your best bet. The prices most retailers want for them are steep.

Average price for one is 350-400. Some retailers (westrifle, TradeEx for example) get them in every now and then, but they disappear quickly. Keeping an eye, or posting a Want To Buy ad on the Equipment Exchange might be your best bet.

Yeah i started my collection with a Tula SKS so i am trying to stick with that manufacturer , but if the Tula M44 is too hard to find i will most likely try another builder , thanx for the info guys

Most M44s are Izhevsk made, Tulas are rare like hens teeth.

looks like there are a few M44 via the tips from this thread but i now find myself needing to conserve cash as the oil patch slowdown is going to seriously effect purchases over the next few months
