A few months ago I bought a SAM Titan and a SAM Thunderbolt both in .45 acp. When I engage the thumb safety on the Titan and pull the trigger there is a little click and the hammer drops maybe .010 and when I disengage the safety the trigger pull is around 3 - 3.5 lbs and if I don't use safety about 6 lbs. The safety is not properly fit in the gun.
The next pistol I could not break it down for cleaning with a bushing wrench. Finnally got it apart in a vice with a hammer and a piece of delrin 1/2'' rod and an assistant. What I found was the back of the bushing was binding against the full length guide rod. Removed .015'' in the lathe from guide rod and problem solved. I know if I fit a new thumb safety in the Titan it will be fine. Just wonder if anyone else has had issues with S.A.M. guns. BTW at the range they did work fine with the Norc ammo I had. Just curious.
