The Sauvestre "Fléchette" round

Eh-eh!
Nothing a little research can't unearth! :D
I was looking for the Sauvestre round history and did a little browsing on internet. Here is the site:
http://www.sauvestre.tm.fr/index_us.htm
I don't know if that slug is classified as a fléchette round and therefore forbidden in this country or if it is simply considered as a sabot slug.
I sure would like to find some.
PP. :D

Silver Plus...was the name they used to carry. CAI out of Montreal used to sell them.
Interestingly I had a couple I had cut apart as samples, and when the time came to get rid of them I offered them to a buddy in California. He assured me in Cali they would be classed as Flechettes
Here they weren't/aren't.
Mind you they weren't exactly cheap either.
They were ok, I wasn't hugely impressed with them.

OK guys; I just received an answer from Sauvestre here is the text:
Basically, they are telling me that they do not have any distributor in Canada.
They'll contact Higginson Powders as I suggested they do.
If you want some of these, send an e-mail to Higginson mentioning the Sauvestre arrow slug. Maybe this will work. :D

"
Monsieur Ferrer,
Recevez, Monsieur Ferrer, mes meilleures salutations.

According to Sauvestre they are very accurate for a flechette-style. I thought the sabot quite often screwed up the trajectory of a finned bullet...? But they seem to pack a decent punch and deploy fairly well. Hmmm...
Neat. 8)

I have a box of 6 I bought here in Canada. Never shot any. The hull is semi-transparent and you can see the components, even the powder flakes.

Thats the critter, 6 in a box.

Got some more e-mailing back and forth and I suggested some sporting goods conglomerates. Told me they'll contact the head offices and try to get some importer for the country.
I think ProPac is interested in dealing.
Minimum requirement is 5000 rounds of ANY combination of their products. They make that slug in 12, 16 and 20 gauge, in lead or no-lead version. They also manufacture some interesting rifle ammo.
I hope they find an importer. :)
