Apparently some influential people in the firearms business see a good deal of merit in the old '99. Apparently, so do some well heeled buyers... impressive accuracy gaurantee, for a '99.

I have had the wierd hankering to try a 99 lately (I am an not a lever guy at all)

Beautiful rifle.

Kicking my self for two things I didn't do in this hobby: pick up a snubby revolver or Luger before C68 was inflicted on us, and not picking up a 99C before they were discontinued.

They must be using actions in the 900,000 range to get 358's in em and still have a side lever safety cause the one millions and up had tang safeties and the pre-900's wouldn't accept the 358.

That's one classy looking 99; I've always had a soft spot for them. Much better than some of the late production ones with pressed checkering.

I see that they also offer a Mannlicher stock version.
