For those shooters who were wondering if the No5Mk1 had the fabled "wandering zero'' or not.
I installed an S&K no drill scope mount and a Leupold 2x7 to see if there is any truth to the myth.
I can say that in my rifle, the myth is a myth. I consistently got under an inch with 180 Core-Lokt's and 174 Sierra match bullets.:sniper:

I have a No5 that I bubba'd into a deer rifle. It also has the S&K mount. It is a tack driver.

And yes, before I offend anyone, the rifle was drilled and tapped before I bought it and it was not in the correct stock. Not a museum piece.

Nice rifle now though.

i have a #5 that was my fathers. dated 1945. it was sold with a new stock set, and D/Tapd for the parker hail mounts.
it doesnt matter what you feed it, litterally, it will shoot an inch at 100, hot or cold
