CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow

The new generation of CZ 75 SP-01 pistol especially adapted according to suggestions as proposed by users from Law Enforcement, Military and Police communities worldwide, with an additional input from the Team CZ world premier shooters Angus Hobdell and Adam Tyc. The CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW features no firing pin block, which consequently helps to slightly reduce trigger pull weight and improves trigger travel properties. Pistol frame which comes from a new mould incorporates alterations such as recess beneath the trigger guard and beavertail to enable a higher grip of this handgun. Slightly “weaker” recoil spring originating from standard production CZ 75/85 pistols facilitates loading and enhances the shooting comfort. Sights consisting of fiber optics front sight and tactical “Novak style” rear sight to promote much easier, faster and more accurate target acquisition. Round off edges of magazine well, substantially improve reloading. This new generation of CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol is appropriate for service use, self-defense and sport alike.

Can You guys tell me, what are the diff between SP01 and SP01 Shadow.
There is about 150 diff in price, so I guess Shadow must be improved version, however what justifies that price?

Thanks

I'm not even going to try and imagine the fury felt by Tanfoglio over the Stock Custom now ;)

Not really.. if you look at the changes. there are two tanfoglio models added..

the "Stock II" is the stock custom without the magwel ;) ;)

To change the standard SP-01 into a quasi-Shadow would cost much more than $150. Purchase the wizz-bang parts and have a pistolsmith fit them to your gun. Then wait months to get your gun back. Much better just to buy a real Shadow. The Shadow has F/O front sight, competition rear sight, competition hammer, 'weaker' recoil and main springs, no firing pin block and it may have the CZ85 trigger. Also there are changes to the reciever to allow for a higher grip and a rounded off magwell.

Thanks StoneHorse,

It sounds good. I most likely gonna buy Shadow.
How hard is to get spare magazines for Shadow, are they same like
CZ75 type, and who carry them?
Also, the holster, what would be ideal holster for under 100 bucks, no Ghost, they will break my budget.
I need adjustable holster for angles and comfortable for draw.
I am shooting Standard now, but would like to shoot production bit more, and I think Shadow, could be the one in this class.

Yes, it's the large frame Tanfoglio.

Yes, it's basically the Stock Custom without scope holes and a magwell,
Yes, you can use the big whopping rubber Tanfoglio base pads on the mags.
Yes, you can put the aluminum grips on it.
Yes, there will be a sale on "Stocks" soon.
Sorry, I don't take CZ trade ins. :D

CZ75, 85, SP-01, and Shadow use the same mags. Also I understand that Tanfoglio mags will work in the CZ's. I have Blade Tech DOH holster for my SP-01 and I don't see why it would not fit the Shadow. I paid about $80 for the holster if I remember correctly.
