The SIG Pro. Worth it?

You cant go wrong with either. I bought a Sigpro 9mm a while ago and its accurate and a very nice all around gun. The trigger is as good if not better than a 226. I have fired the M&P in 9 and 40 and they are good good shooters as well. Both suck for holster availability and mags are much more expensive compared to Glock. The only thing I dont like about the Sig is the heal mag is good for pinching my pinkie finger during reloads. I am also partial to a DAO trigger. he nitron finish is a lot tougher than it looks as well.

no problem....:)

Steyr pros:
Good quality polymer frame and internals
Removable rails and trigger mechanism
Can accept a shoulder stock! (I made one myself)
Really easy to take apart (same as 92FS!)
Good ergonomis, but may not fit everyone (I didn't like how it made my trigger finder point downwards when holding/shooting the gun)

I was very interested in buying a Steyr sometime ago. I liked the low bore, I liked the decently thin grips....and then I shot it after someone had mentioned how he felt awkward with it.

The awkwardness is partly due to the hump on the back of the grip. It doesn't fit everyone.

I suspect Steyr intended for it to be ergonomic and naturally forcing the shooter to attain a high grip(and take full advantage of a low bore) but the hump can be a hinderance.

Steyr cons;
Week slide finish
No firing pin safety
Could be unreliable with reloads
Some guns have erratic ejection (at first)
Sights can be hard to get used to
Inconsistent trigger (kinda)
Extended factory barrel looks ugly IMO

M&P pros:
Better slide finish
Mine has been 100% even with reloads
Interchangeable back straps
IMO looks better (esp. with out beavertail and with polished slide)

M&P cons:
Frame /rail quality rails could be better
Use of roll pins in frame
Can’t use a shoulder stock with the gun
Not as easy to take apart as some guns.

Cool stuff! Well I've gone with the Steyr (ordered it late last week) so hopefully I like it enough to keep it. :D Otherwise it's back to trying to decide between a SIG and a S&W. Or maybe a CZ...
