The SKS Stock Options Thread

I'm torn. Archangel makes such an awesome sks stock but if I go tapco I can get one that allows me to keep my bayonet on, in turn looking just as kick ass. Ati looks really sick in black and I know what I'm buying because I have one in tan for my 1022 and it has extremely comfortable grips and butt pads. ####...

Why only one?
Get the ATI or AA, then buy a Tapco fitted SKS on EE later for cheeeeep. They are always popping up on there on a regular basis.

I handled SKS's in both the Tapco and Archangel stocks. I bought the AA simply due to the feel; it's a much more solid feeling stock compared to the mattel toy feeling Tapco. And I don't even have my SKS yet!

Yeah feel is important. The Archangel butt pad is telescopic too right? Or does it just fold, or both?

Cutting a shallow groove is all that is needed to keep the bayo on the Archangel SKS stock, we have done lots.

That was my theory, and seeing as they can be hard to find and tend to sell out, I got in on the pre-order that Hi-Cal did figuring that if I decided that I didn't want it, I could easily sell it for little/no loss.
 
I'm supposed to be selling off the 802 plinkster tonight which will pay for most of it (useless with the ruger around). So long as this guy doesn't flake out I should be putting an order in within the next 36 hours. EMT. Might also order a mag and sight tool. Hopefully you have those as well...

hical, any word on getting any more Timbersmith stocks in? I sent a message into through your website a week ago, but no reply.

I am interested in getting one or two, just not the model you have listed on your site currently.
 
1I have a ATI Dragonov on my type 56. the LOP is a big mprovment . I had to lower the cheek rest , though , as it was suitable for a scope, but not iron sights. Its far more comforable and looks great. $55. USD at Walmart/
