the spring bear hunt

We should send Robert shad to where the Grizzly man lived maybe the Grizzly's could take care of another Anti for us and then they would reinstate the spring bear hunt here. the only reason it was cancelled was due to polotics never once because of scientific research. I watched a video on another forum today of a bear eating a moose calf. everything has a chain reaction so how does this affect the rest of the ecology I mean if there are more bears are they eating more moose deer rabbits or how is the habitat effected ETC. I think that the MNR has to be reminded that ethical cfontrolled hunting is a superior form of conservation and wildlife management. Our government is a real joke when they do stuff like this without any scientific support;.
would you have a link to the video of the bear eating the calf?

btw....welcome to gun nutz:D

how about some photo shopped pics of bear around the cn tower...around ontario place...even around the city hall...or how how about one waving at the sign on the 401 say the population of toronto:) :) :)
ppl of toronto are not to bright...they believe any thing they see on the net;)
put in the caption of each pic.......
the bears are eating little kids in toronto...please bring back the spring bear hunt:p :p

I need a good laugh, don't forget to write in as an old lady complaining how the bears ate her little pet dogs. :)

The fact of the matter is that hunting is the only way to manage bear populations.

As the number of hunters decreases, prey populations increase, and without hunting, bears will increase unabated, just like the wolves they transplanted into yellowstone a few years ago...

On the plus side though, if there are enough bears around, they'll eat up all the deer and Ontarians won't have so many deer related MVA's...

Maybe we should transplant some polar bears into Ontario to out eat the blackies...

No, wait, didn't someone once advocate sterilizing wild animals for population control?

Seriously, what a stupid situation.

Never applied this year...next year I will apply for a spring bear and we will finally be able to hunt on sundays!! Yay!

No applications in AB.

We get two tags.

Shoot em both in the spring or both in the fall or one in the fall and one in the spring:) :)

Make sure you posts pics for fogducker. (He's very sensitive this time of year):p

What I did discover is that the tags expire in the calender year. I have to get a new tag now, as I can't use the one I didn't fill last fall...

That is true. That law changed a few years back. There are still lots of people that didnt realize it changed.

Yup, same as the Fishing tag. March 31 to March 31.

Pisses guys off who have to buy a fishing tag in the middle of March that is only good for two weeks because they didn't pick one up in the summer.:D

Spring Bear Hunt in QC

Any listfolks plan to hunt bear this Spring in West Quebec--zone 10W or even 13?

I am contemplating a hunt at our moose camp to assist in balancing the moose/bear ratio slightly, if possible.
