Thanks to Dylan92 for pointing out in a General Firearms Discussion thread that BCL is working on a .308 version of the Siberian, to be called the Grizzly. https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2399800-Bcl-Srv2-grizzly-in-308?p=19826281#post19826281 . Only limited information and pictures of the receiver are available so far. Please add to this thread as more information is released.

I messaged the following inquiry on Instagram, receiving replies from BCL and North Sylva:

Is the Grizzly .308 going to be a piston gun, like the Siberian, or gas tube pushed AR-10 style internal piston running along AR-180 style dual recoil springs along dual guide rods, like an upsized CMMG Dissent or Jard J180?

BCL nn Instagram said:
It will run a piston and guide rods. Anything too close to an AR10 would not receive non-restricted classification

It's a Siberian in 308

That picture looks liket it was taken with a home made spy camera, hidden in a sweater, at a secret meeting where no pictures were allowed..... :)

BCL announced they would be doing a .308 version at some point in the future when the Siberian came out.

Wait and see when if and what, seems to be the Standard Operating System. Did they ever compete their alloy glock pistols?

I will attempt to place these in thread when I get home, but for now here are some Instagram links:

@blackcreeklabs SRV2 GRIZZLY - COMING in 2024.

The only information we have at the moment is it is a scaled-up version of the SRV2 Siberian in .308Win.

These are expected to be available sometime in 2024 and we will provide an update with pricing and availability as soon as we receive them. Thanks.

Yes I have. And they are, but that looks much boxier.

I suspect the larger rounds will require girthier return springs. Since the receiver appears relatively short, that means either wider springs or extra return springs like in the Crusader .308. Since they mentioned it was still AR-180 based, the former is probably true, requiring a thiccc receiver to hold them.

If it’s anything like the 5.56 it’s a HARD pass for me. At least it looks like they haven’t committed to the George Foreman grill hand guard for the 308

Its a great idea to judge products before they are available....Let's make it as difficult as possible for Canadain manufacturer's to make new products.....
