I see that Brownells lists a Bat Machine barrel extension that is DPMS compatible. That makes the option of a custom barrel quite practical.

That’s what I have now ( in the pic)
But I think I’m going with a diff barrel.

I'm going with 308. I'm mainly just bench shooting with it but didn't want the heavy barrel irunguns was offering in their package. Plus getting simple answers is like pulling teeth it seems.

If your just bench shooting, heavy barrel is fine.

I really don’t see what all the concern is over barrel weight is anyways.
8 or 9 lbs ,it’s not that big a difference.

Mine is the 15 ,mlok, MI.
When I add the comp , it leaves 7 inches of exposed barrel.

The MI has a generousi overall diameter,so the smaller diameter barrels, looks a bit wonky.

I’ve got the hybrid profile in the criterion so hopefully it looks good, I didn’t want much if any over hang of the handguard on the gas block since it’s adjustable which is why I went with the 12”.

So far criterion 20” SS hybrid profile nitrated. The SLR gas block and Lantac gas tube are all nitrated. Hopefully it’s worth the bit extra.

I just need the buffer and spring. I have a set that will work but I might go higher end for this one. Not sure yet. Gieselle trigger two stage was also ordered.

Dont put the Gas tube in or open up your adjustable block all the way

Ya with no gas you can single fire just pull the charging handle after every round.
