The start of a "new manufacture" muzzleloader collection

The centrepiece.

The scattergun.

The sixgun.

Yes, a strange trio thrown together. But I like shooting them all!

Nice. Our BP numbers are dwindling, good to see the interest.

Is that a Lyman Great Plains in the very top?

PS can't get enough of that blunderbuss. I'd love to get my hands on a kit or at least a barrel.

[Brutus]

NorthCoastBigBore, that's a Browning Mountain Rifle in .50 RB calibre friend.

Yes, the blunderbuss is quite the handful. You would not believe the wide shot pattern @5-10 yards until you've seen it with your own eyes.

Cheers.....

Ahhh a Browning - nice looking rifle!

I believe you about the wide pattern - I've yet to read that article you posted in a recent thread about blunderbuss myths but it is on my list.

Thank you for the compliments sir! Last winter this hare tried to escape it's wrath. The 1 3/8 ounce load of shot also chopped down alot of brush, twigs and small branches for the intercept. It was definitely a close range encounter in the spruce jungle. About 6-7 yards IIRC. Once I've filled at least one deer tag with the Browning, the blunderbuss will be utilized again this winter.

[NorthCoastBigBore]

Love it! What an interesting piece of machinery/art. Here's to hoping this winter treats you as well as last.

I had a great little blunderbuss....Sold it to a fellow on the forum a few years ago...damn shame as I wish I had it now!
