The start of something AWESOME.....now assembled (pics in post 50)

All parts are at Henry Remple's for assembly.

I would have used Mick McPhee (as I usually do) but it made more logistical sense to go with Henry since it was all going into one of his stocks and keep it down to one or mailing costs rather than 3 or 4.

Woooooooo Hoooooooo!!!!!!

Thanks to Tom F. My co-ax rest made it home last night. Pics to follow if I get a chance tonight.

Not as heavy as I thought it was and will need some modification to lower the head some as it sits a lot higher than I would like it to.

Well you should be OK for elevation. I was at Henry's the other day and i put a good bend in your PGW action for ya!! The butt end of your stock should easily reach the bag now!!
Have fun!! LOL:bangHead::bangHead:

Well I FINALLY got the completed rifle home this weekend, loaded a few break in rounds and some OCW loads last night.

Got a chance to go out after dinner this evening as we had little to no wind so it was ideal for a little break in and test.

I opted for 2 x Shoot 2 & Clean instead of my usual 3 x Shoot 1 & Clean, 2 x Shoot 3 and clean, etc....

The first 2 rounds from the Broughton took me awhile to clean as the copper left behind was quite substantial, picture blue baby snot once the 26% Amonia hit it :D.

2nd bout of 2 rounds went much easier and cleanup after the 5 shot group pictured below was an absolute breeze with very little copper fouling showing up on the patches.

As you can tell by the picture below this gun certainly looks like it wants to shoot.

My break in was done with some old 180 Berger VLD Match bullets I had in the cupboard with a powder load that fellow shooter recommended for fireforming loads.

The 4 foulers were my start load for the OCW using 180 Berger Hybrids

Pics of the completed rifle to come in the next few days.

Pics as promised

Unfortunately it was raining outside so I had to take pics in my kitchen, and my flash was out of batteries (and apparently so was the battery drawer) so the pics are a little on the dark side as I was using available light.

Scope rings are a little high so I will have to find a lower set for this rifle.

The stock and the rest will be getting a paint job but probably not before the end of this season. I am thinking of a Canadian flag style motif for the World F-class Championships in 2013., but still putting some thought into how I want it to look.

Was out doing some OCW tests this evening and ended up having a pierced primer halfway through my 2nd set of 3 rounds.

My Jewel trigger has now been rendered useless but I did have a spare Rifle Basix Target trigger in the house, thank god.

Will have to go back out tomorrow and finish the rest of the test. :(
