The SVT 40 Tokarev ***updated april 12th***

I've though about cutting some vinyl tubing in half and putting it in the channel. Might cause enough friction to hold it in.

Anyone else's SVT double tap when it's really cold and it's had around 20 shot through it? I find I have to be more on the ball with the gas system to avoid that.

Great rifle it's only too bad that everything for it costs more than the rifle eg. $300 bayonet and $700 scope and mount and the availability of replacement parts. Speaking of which I'm looking for a new set of recoil springs for mine if anyone has any idea where to get a replacement set some info would be greatly appreciated. Great thread and group.

You ain't kidding: absolutely great rifle, and absolutely over-priced accessories. Still, we love it.

In this case, you're actually in luck. Here:

Bill ships to Canada regularly for just a couple of bucks in a padded envelope. As you can see, there is also a stainless steel gas piston set, which should give fewer problems with corrosive-primed ammunition, though you should still give the gas system a bit of a cleaning after a shooting session. Replica blank firing adapter, too, if you've got the scope and bayonet and all, and want to be complete.
