The T97 Thread!

That's something I find a bit maddening. I posted my iron sight groups a few pages back, and I think with the right ammo and more practice, the rifle is capable of consistent 3" groups with those horrible stock sights. But I just about never see groups from guys with the FTU and a proper optic, I kinda want to know what the rifle's real potential is!

id post some of mine jarvy, but the only range i have access to atm is a 27yard indoor, and ive only shot norinco/ mfs through it so far. but with that saidt, my t97ftu is about half as accurate as my da556. i can plug the same hole multiple times with my ar at that range, but the t97 opens up quite a lot

I prefer the stock t97nsr i actually use the carry handle and i never really use the safety much. The charging handle is in a perfect spot where it doesnt get snagged on clothing

I had the original before I decided to get the FTU mod, and I have to respectfully disagree. The cocking handle took its toll on my fingers after an hour or so of shooting, and I can't imagine what one would use the carry handle for. I sling mine when carrying it around.

Woods walks and the two things mentioned really shine especially thick brush

I'll gladly sling my rifle when I carry it in the bush if it meant I can have MUCH better ergonomics, ability to accessorize, and get rid of that god awful plastic carry handle. Just a personal preference I guess. To each their own.

None at all, but the casings did eject roughly 10-15ft away.

I'll believe it when I see it .... I've had the carrot dangled for so many years I just bought the T97 in time for the LHG. If this unicorn is real and hits the streets I may buy that too if it's worth it. It really sucks it's taken so long for the LHG and FTU to come to full fruition, but I think the wait will have been worth it!

The Brand new design T97 with rail and double side mag release and cammo are comming, i saw the pics already, dont ask for more detail i cant tell...
;)

Could you explain further? Is there any way to correct this? This was the first 40 rounds the rifle has seen.

the ejector is machined into the bolt guiderail, so its ejecting with the force of the bolt's recoil as it slams back after a shot. you can see it yourself, take the top cover of the rifle off and manually cycle a dummy round
