Too bad our version did not get that cool vertical fore grip/trigger guard. I wonder if our Canadian-spec T97s are built much different in terms of quality, and if they would stand up to the same torture tests as the Chinese mil-spec version.

So what's the verdict on the T97? Yay or nay? I haven't really been following the t97 threads since around January. I'm on my way to my LGS now and I'm thinking of getting one. I just feel the need to try a bullpup and to piss off a liberal.

I took my t97 to the woods today (so awesome that you can).

Learned a valuable lesson about bullpups.

I had set up a target on a tree against a backstop and then gone back a hundred yards to shoot at it, bracing myself against another tree to take my shot. Have done this many times before with other rifles.

Well the ejector port is further back then with other rifle I own. After three or four good shots a piece of brass bounced off the tree and hit me in the mouth. Got a nice little burn on my lip and had to spit out the case.

Lesson learned. Brace on the right side of a tree from now on.

In the area of mags .. continue to get great service from C-products Defence Lar-15 10 round mags ..( also use the magwedge ) they are not on the expensive side, and Wanstalls has a free shipping sale on this week .. just a heads up

The force on the charging handle seems excessive on my new T97.
Does anybody know what would be a (reasonable) spec for the recoil spring and for the striker spring?
The cycling goes very smooth without the springs, there is no binding anywhere.
I'm sure it's a common issue with Chinese springs being overly strong, for some reason.

So it looks like one or both springs could be clipped a bit shorter,
anybody knows how many turns would be OK to clip, to lighten them up?
Also, what's a good source to buy some spare recoil and striker springs, in case I mess something up? :)

Hit the gym.

These things worth spending coin on? I see they are going for around $1000? Is that a standard price?
Yup,roughly around $1000,and well worth every dollar I would say.
Just fitted an FTU to mine,so looking forward to trying it out with a scope on it this weekend.
