Are those cerakoted FDE or do they come like that from the factory?

That seems like a senseless way to make a less effective soldier, for some and easily fixable problem.

It's what the Brits have been doing for 30 years as well.

I'm just using a basic NCStar SKS sling -- the loops on the left side are pretty small, so there isn't much play, but once it's in it works okay.

I'll give it a try, I've found sks slings to be too short, but assuming using one on the little T97 would be a nice size.

can anyone tell me how the paddle mag release will work?? I have 2 type 97's and its really the only thing i dont like about them. IM still on the fence about ordering a lower yet. how is everyone liking them so far?

Motherbleeper! Removing my T97 flash hider took some effort. First the pin, then knocking it off the barrel. Penetrating oil and heat were all employed.

I removed the flash hider so I could measure the barrel for a clamp on Grizzly Ghost Protocol Muzzle Brake. I will post pics once it arrives. I want to tame the muzzle jump on the T97 as compared to my muzzled AR15.

I absolutely love my T97.ca lower. The trigger is 10x better and the safety is amazing for the obvious reasons.

I posted earlier in this thread, about this issue.
Mine did exactly the same thing (double-fire, failure to eject the casing/failure to cycle or reset the striker).
I also found it did it on softer trigger pulls. Took it to a gunsmith, he did some minor work on the trigger group and sear.
I've put just over 1000 rounds through mine and the problem seems to have gone away, but I'm still wary of it and can sometimes feel when a lighter trigger pull could cause another double fire.

Also, it's doing this every once in a while

It rips the case in half, leaves the top half in the chamber and feeds another round into the unejected casing...kind of like a brass condom.

Not what I was expecting for a 1000 dollar gun. Other than my M305 I've got no plans to buy any more Norinco guns.

You got a lemon. No manufacturer is 100%, regardless if it's Chinese.

I'm probably close to 3000 rounds with no issues. Only thing that's ever happened was a magazine issue.
