The T97 Thread!

Not good at all, I've only heard of this happening before one other time. I never had this issue with mine, but you should disassemble it and have a look at the sear engagement, see if it's damaged.
Hi all! Got my new to me T97 to the range, took 15 mags along as I hear they're finicky with mags. Here's the problem twice I got rounds pushed back inside the casing.. Is there a fix besides polishing the ramp? And the BIG PROBLEM one mag fired 2 rounds like the rifle was an auto then in another mag it fired 4 rounds like an auto.. What would cause this? Pull and hold trigger and blattttt! Release the trigger it stops squeeze trigger fire last round. I can find no broken internals but I'm new to this style of rifle and am a bit lost. Any help would be great!
Thanks!

$300 is highway robbery, like I said before mine was done and Dlask and they did a good job. Maybe when their production schedules die down you can try contacting them again.
Calgary shooting Centre said $325 to get the current brake off and thread it. But that was when I thought it was metric thread + pinned. Not just pinned.

Once my brake shows up, I can knock the pin out and just get it threaded, hopefully for under $300 lol.

I'll have to find a detailed parts list as I have no idea what the sear looks like, I couldn't find any rough parts ar broken parts.. The others beside me at the range look a little un nerved when the second mag went Blattttt, but me being me shot a couple more mags with no problems..

Ya that's not good. The sear is in the trigger group, under the back plastic dust cover. It moves when you pull the trigger

Alrighty, also an update. So I've been trying to figure out my friends trigger reset issue. It wasn't the rod at all like was mentioned. The striker is actually not letting the trigger reset.

I tried piece by piece of his rifle in one of mine. Put the striker in, bang same issue. I sent the store a message seeing what I or they could do about it.

Photo for attention.

Hi, can I buy a new trigger group or sear? If I switch out the whole lower hand guard could that correct the problem?
Thanks for your replies!

What buttstock pad is that on the middle one ?

Update to the update. North Sylva's gunsmith, "...believes that the striker is not the solution for this problem.." and suggests I send the T97 in for diagnosis and repair.

What a pain to deal with for something I already figured out, but okay. That being said the guy im dealing with for them has been very responsive and helpful so far.

Good luck and let us know, I think the only parts they did bring in were recoil springs and bolts. Old thread had gwedge@northsylva.com as the contact for parts.

Wow, that is a new one for me. Glad that my similar issue was fixed with the washer/spacer. At the time, I was running out of patience with the rifle.
As much as I love my t97, it is a finicky. But rewarding as hell when it works properly.

Good luck with your warranty and parts search.

I had the exact same problem and I retuned the weapon to NSR. My dealer gave me the coordinates to reach them by e-mail. Never had a problem with it since and the service was good. Good luck
