The T97 Thread!

She finally arrived!! Stripped her down and gave her a good cleaning,. Incredible the amount of grit in it. Topped her off with a Bushnell AR 1-8x24 and some 45deg offset backup sights. Out of 20 mags only the MFT didn’t fit.

Glad to hear that you're having a good time with mags, that fake suppressor looks good on there!

I just received mine today. Haven't been to the range yet, but really excited to try it out. Can anyone give me a good suggestion for a quick adjust sling? Thanks.

MS1 is always a good choice. But attachment points could be a problem. The one on the gas block is not usable for anything I know. SO you have to install something on the side rail.

The MS3 has clips to accommodate the small sling loops I hear, similarly to the PLA sling

Thanks for these in-depth T97 videos, they're quite appreciated

Neither Magpul clips nor HK hooks fit properly onto the T97's front sling loop. It's too small and too close to the handguard. I suspect it was intended to use with SKS-style leather loops.

Regardless, slinging a bullpup the same way you do a classic layout rifle (eg AR15) is not advisable anyway. You will have problems reaching magwell and charging handle. Watch this video about X95 sling operation - same ideas apply to T97, except T97 doesn't have a sling attach point on the right side of the buttstock.

This is how I setup mine

Nice setup..... what is that light?

The front slot for my Gen 1 is too small for an HK clip.
A very cheap solution is to put a inch or an inch and a half ring from a key chain, then you can use the HK clip on to the key chain ring.

Really impressed with the newest version of these rifles. I had the original "gen 1"with the carry handle, and it was not a great rifle. Fit, finish, and overall quality of these newer ones seem much better.

I want a QBU-88.

I want one so bad. I’ve only ever seen 2 for sale. We’re like $3000...

Want one of the new ones for sure.

They could easily go for half that. Just nobody tries to bring them in.

Only ever brought in once. I’d doubt half though since gen3 T97’s are like $1100.

Honestly if money wasn’t so tight, I’d pay the $3000 for one with their factory scope and such. Cool little setup.
