The Tactical Dilemma...A Geek Gun?

I was reading one of the blogs out there (can't remember which one) and the gun expert of the day was decrying the idea of hanging everything but the kitchen sink on an AR. He said something to the effect of "....flashlights, holosights, laser sights...why not a friggin GPS and rear view mirrors too...?"

At the risk of getting a wedgie from the other kids on the forum...I thought about that for a bit and thought...why not? For the GPS that is?

Consider: we now have watch sized GPS's. The technology is there to put one of these handy little units on the average grunt's gun with a minimum of weight. If any of you have ever played "Halo" or one of the other sci-fi video games, the characters all have radar screens and such on their rifles...and you will use them as you play the game too.

I don't think I need rear view mirrors on a black gun, but an integrated GPS is do-able, and possibly an on board laser ranging system too.
 
yes .. a condiment dispensing butt stock would be cool. Three buttons for ketchup, mustard and relish. I could tie the dog to the barrel and do a "select cook" button instead of select fire. The bun toaster will be purchased from Boomer 686. I like it!

Huh, there's something out of place there on that pic. Oh I know there's a feather on top of the stock. That must be one of them new fangled featherlight stocks I hear about.

The feather is strictly for the "kink" factor... not the LCF!

Boomer ... I will take TWO in MARPAT and mount them on each side. Now you need the adapter that slides into both toasters creating a small rotisserie (you spelling masters, give me a break here) unit for dogs or flame broiled nanas!! now we need a heat source unless you can have the dog/nana accessory draw juice from the toaster units .. what ARE we powering all this stuff with anyway?? Anyone got a flux capacitor?

Actually a GPS with a laser and fluxgate compass incorprated into a datalink would make a useful locator device to send information back up the line, for supporting arms.

Well, ya could fire off a ton of rounds, get the barerel real hot, remove ya grips and wrap the bread against the barrel. ;)
 
The feather for all you smart asses is the Hathcock "white feather' mod. Makes the gun micro MOA when installed.

I actually like the rear view mirror idea , fastened to the barrel . Beats stikin' yer head around the corner .
