The Tavor Virtualized

To bring that to the range dressed as the Master Chief would be worth it....
As far as esthetics though I'm more of a fan of the X95 looks

While it looks "cool", it looks to me like there would be some ergonomic problem-areas. For instance:

-magazine well, extends downward so low that I think it would interfear with a normal speed reload. Add to that the fact there doesn't seem to be the bolt carrier release paddle on the bottom like today's normal Tavor

-mag release appears to be in the X95 or "M4 Carbine" position...which is ok, but is no longer like the Tavor, which is plenty capable of speed reloads

-the bottom piece of plastic that connects between the pistol grip and the magazine well...it's not required, does nothing at all, but potentially interfears with the heal of your hand if you grip it at certain angles. I just experienced something like that when handling an HK polymer carbine in .45 the other day, which had an uncomfortable "butthole stock" (USC?). There's no need for it at all.

-the slanted foregrip...generally looks ok to me, but I hope they plan on making that an option, something that can be swapped out for a different angle of grip...I'd want it to be closer to vertical, personally.

All that said, generally I like the look of it. Which IMO means the RCMP will try to re-classify it as "very Super-duper Prohibited because it's video-gamey looking!!1! L33t!".

Now, if they can offer it with multi-calibers, like 9mm, 5.56 and .300bk...they'll sell like hotcakes and twinkies in 'Murica!

I'd rather get the MagPul PDR-D, if it ever comes out.
