The TAVOR

Anyone know that battery life for the MARS? Its powdered by a single 1.5V AA so I am curious as how it performs compared to the 552 and 553 which run of two AA's and still have less than stellar battery life. Just wondering.

The Mepro 21 vs. the MARS.

The Mepro is a 4 MOA Red Dot from what I know.

What is the MARS? Anyone feel like breaking down the 2 sites?

How much more is the MARS?
 
The MARS is a combination of reflex sight and IR laser pointer. It is listed to have 200 hour for the reddot and 10,000 5 sec on/off for the laser - I am not sure it is 200 hours AND or OR 10,000 5 sec on/off. 200 hours for the reddot itself is pretty pathetic imho, so I suspect it is 200 hours + 10,000 times of laser illumination. Since the laser drains a lot of battery - so if you don't use the laser at all, the reddot will probably lasts more than 200 hours. The MARS, I suspect, is a pretty conventional reddot sight while eotech sucks up a lot of juice becasue it actually projects a laser on the window.
 
So the MARS actually points a laser down a hall (if it on) and you can see it without looking into the optics? basically a laser pointer ... and also Red Dot site like the EOtech or Mepro21?
How many MOA is the RedDot?
Is it NV compatible?
How much more is it over the Mepro21?

Could Canam clarify one thing.

Are there any short barrel (CTAR) Tavors coming in this shipment for those of us that ordered them?

Not on the first shipment. I will try to get shorty barrels on the next one in a few weeks. Only 4 or 5 have ordered them out of several hundred orders.

Also, if you buy the NR you can keep it NR while using the CTAR barrel at the range. Saves the ATT nonsense.

So, this next shipment, will there be any CTARs in the MARS configuration, or just short barrels?
