During our moose hunt I got this close and had a gun but 30.06 seemed a bit of overkill. I was working the bleat can - making me the biggest ugliest doe in BC MU 7-23 lol.
Came back in the evening with the 10/22 but Mr. Snowshoe had bailed, as had the grouse. Why? Well a lynx crossed the road in front of me which honestly was way cooler than taking a rabbit!
