Well it is finally in it's completed form. The wood has been finished, the guns has been painted and everything is put together.
I was a little nervous shooting it because i welded so close to the recoil lug but nothing seems to be wrong. I'll monitor it for cracks but I really don't think anything bad will happen.
The next step is to throw my burris fast fire on it and see what its capable of accuracy wise. I won the sks lottery with my original condition sks, it would be hilarious if this one can group as well. I might even hunt deer with it this season for the heck of it.
Curiously it reminds me of a pipe gun from fallout 4. How does it shoot and function, most importantly?
I have finally found the word to correctly describe this phenomenal artistic experiment: "kitsch"!

NO. Kitsch is when you put a plastic Tapco stock on SKS with a 30 rnd mag pinned to 5rnd like anyone else and think you have AK 47.

The wood looks great!! The rest of it is an abomination--but to each their own. 
I once owned one of the SKS which was "converted" to a AK. It was basically a sleeve build over the SKS barreled receiver. I must say it looked really good and the workmanship was excellent. Problem was the weight, around 12 pounds. Pictures are probably hiding here somewhere but it was around 2014.

Buddy sent me a picture of a SKS similar in build with a backward Eotech style RDS on it. It was Tan and wood.. Browsing CGN, seen this thread, clicked it..
Say it isn't so... Is this the build thread on it? We were like nah, it cannot be.. No Eotech style sight on it. We were like nobody would want to copy that, so it has to be.
