The ultimate Garand thumb

Its usually catching the thumb on the right hand is what is referred to as 'Garand Thumb'. I have no idea why his left thumb would there.........(other than he was in a total panic at being over run by the enemy):ar15::eek:

Here is my Garand incident. I was going in for one more swipe of the follower and Wammo! *%$^ #$^%$ *@!

I've never had this problem with a garand mine have always pushed in and clicked and then I've always had to manually push the op rod forward. Heck I've even tried to let it go forward on it's own and they won't.

Ya mines the same, sometimes it will go forward on its own but others it needs the garand bump.

Old tired oprod spring. After replacing mine the bolt drops as soon as I take pressure off the top round.

Op rod spring is new. Replaced all the springs when I got it with wolfs springs. I'm not to worried about it, I don't mind giving it that extra bump every now and then if I have too.Seems to happen less and less the more the enblocs loosen up.
