The Ultimate Sheep Rifle.

Wonder if you asked for no muzzle break if they drop the price? I also wonder why they put a muzzle break on a rifle one is trying to save weight on? I'd love the rifle, but for the price it would be a lot easier carrying the Savage lightweight even though it weighs a bit more.

They're doing the same thing as Christensen Arms with their Carbon Classic. They're super light despite the heavy profile barrel. Designed to be carried all day but still be very effective long range. Fierce arms does a similar rifle as well but with a Sako action instead of a Remington action. They're a carbon fiber wrapped barrel with a titanium receiver.

20" barrel @ 5.6 lbs. Not overly impressive.

Is the carbon wrapped barrel more accurate than a high quality conventional #1 profile barrel?

SA 700 Mountain SS with a 22" barrel is 5.4 lbs in a Wildcat for a hell of a lot less.

What's with the big-ass bolt knob? Aside from maybe providing a visual balance to the thick barrel, how on earth is that appropriate on a lightweight rifle?

I've got almost the exact same rifle for thousands less, not sure how they came up with that price

They threw a bunch of decent parts together, slapped a logo on it, and then went to marketing and said "if we only make 100 of these, what's the most we can charge and still expect to sell them all?" And sadly, they will sell them all. No lessons will be learned here.

Personally I think I did a lot better for a lot less money.......

Pffft savage lightweight hunter is only a grand with same weight and barrel, Kimber MA is even lighter and comes with a brake, longer barrell and at half the price. Though I don't like the safety on that Mauser action.

6.5 creed is excellent sheep round.

Carbon fiber barrel in the mountains is fail IMO though, the rocks are going to beat it to #### and u want to be scanning the skyline, not worrying about bumping your rifle.

"Through an unprecedented collaboration of some of the hunting industry’s foremost brands..."

A product with the incredible power of branding. Their research would indicate this concept rifle for interested consumers among the masses having the wherewithal for it will be a commercial success.

Sucker in the positive connotation of the appeal or attraction of brands so definition 5b - "a person irresistibly attracted by something specified - a sucker for whatever (brands)". ;)

Remington has a great track record of marketing fails. 7mm Express anyone? 350 Rem Mag? 6.5 Rem Mag? Rem Ultra Mag? SAUM? 8mmRem Mag. Then theres the last few decades of quality control issues and crap rifle designs. Hey I know, lets build a rifle thats already available to anyone that can call a gunsmith but we'll charge them twice the going rate. I don't know how those guys keep their jobs.
