The Unknown War - DVD series

Just finished watching the 5 disc series. If you want to see lots of Mosin Nagants, Mausers, and oodles of artillery, armored vehicles, etc., then get this set. Hosted and narrated by Burt Lancaster, it is a Soviet flavored recounting of the battles fought by the Soviet forces. It is very important to watch the analysis at the end. The fellow fills in where the movies sort of skips the nasty stuff that the Reds did during WW2.

There was a series of WW2 movies called, if I remember correctly, "Our Brave Russian Allies".

The series was shown to out militia unit in the late 50s, early 60's.
