Thanks guys!
Pricey bit of kit but may be worth it for the NR part alone. Really nice looking rifle!
You really thinking of getting one Mike?

I dunno, just got a swiss and Im feeling really jittery about whats coming this fall. Like real skiddish bad feeling in my stomach kindof jittery. I have a whole lot of cash invested in NR firearms that are on the rcmp hitlist, like over 15k in firearms alone, add the optics on top of that which would essentially plunge in price after most of all black NR semis are deemed prohib, i stand to lose close to 25k. Should I invest 4500& + say another acog for 1600$, thats another 6000$ bringing my total to over 30k that i could lose because of JT and his police friends. Thats too much money to get stolen by the gvt without compensation.

I just dont feel good about this... Maybe in April next year for my birthday, if we're still allowed to own semis by then and my property hasnt gotten confiscated (stolen) by our friendly mounties and the smiling selfie JT.

I did forget to mention one key feature, the trigger. It is very good. Just over 3 pound pull. No creep and a very crisp break. When I did the speed mag dumps, I really couldn't tell anything about the reset. But the pull and break is what impressed me. I'm not sure what ATRS is using, but it is very good.

They use the Timney AR15 drop in trigger in the MV and the Timney AR10 drop in trigger in the MH.

I think your guns need a boating accident in a very cold and deep lake. Maybe mine will join yours.

If at least they offered us compensation, but we saw with the swiss and 858 how the RCMP plans on doing it, just with a stroke of a pen steal my property. That just doesnt sit right with me. 25k inpotential write offs? thats almost the cost of my mba.

I know we're not allowed to talk about leos here, but this is outrageous immoral reprehensible behaviour.

So yah lets all plan on a canoe trip on the okanagan this fall, I go to kelowna every month now anyways for work.

I would suggest that an expensive rifle with a premium barrel should be capable of precision accuracy...

Sum of the guys with the MH have been getting some good accuracy
My modern Hunter I have only gotten it out shooting clam shells on the beach it hasn't missed one yet
fun rifle now with the a lightweight barrel she feels 1000 times better glad I went with lightweight barrel on the MV

yah, I hear yah but I prefer reluability over accuracy.

My CA was super accurate, 1 moa with its carbon barrel, but it would only shoot 4 out of 5 times without jamming horribly and eventually exploding in my face

So if these rifles are reliable and can shoot under 2 moa I'm good to go.

have you gotten your mv yet?

No regrets at all on the lightweight barrel on mine. Have only had it out to shoot once with the new milled down gas block installed and the wind was blowing so hard it was nearly impossible to actually hold MOA, and I still managed some groups just a hair over MOA. Definitely promise of sub MOA with a little load tweaking and a better day to shoot.

I bough the rifle to shoot 3 gun and lug around off the range the odd time I get a chance to go for coyotes or gophers and I am more than pleased with the accuracy of the lightweight barrel.

Beautiful gun and great additions. Couple of questions before I put an order in on mine:

Weight: based on another owner's calculations (where he had his MV on a table scale) and Alberta Tactical's own estimations, it seems that your gun is about a pound heavier when I strip off the weight of all your components. Is 10lbs your precise measurement?

Muzzle brake: how did you find the AT device? They state that it completely eliminates muzzle rise, but they unfortunately do not have any videos of it being used outside of a vice. Thoughts and comments?

I went without a brake on MV I don't like them on any rifle
But I did have one put on the 338 upper to help tame the recoil a bit I do like the looks of the brake but hate the extra noise and hate cleaning inside all those little holes
