The Varmints are coming!!!!

How does everything look for the second batch of rifles so far??
Has production started? And are they still 6 months wait from order to finish?

We are working on lowers right at the moment, uppers are done just need anodizing but we do the upper and lower together to ensure color match.
Parts to be ordered are being compiled and the orders should be placed shortly so everything is going as planned.

Depending on what furniture and barrel dictates how long it takes. Some suppliers take longer than others to get product from.
We predict about a 6 month delivery from time of order to delivery as being normal. Unfortunately some things are beyond our control but we try our hardest.

So with that 'time-line', if I ordered at the end of May, does that mean I may end up with a Christmas gift coming in the mail?!

Quick question for us plebs waiting on the proof barrels; are the rest of our guns made and just waiting for the barrel to be put on finishing touches and shipped out? Or is it going to be 5 or 6 months after the proof barrels come in? Thanks.

The entire rifle in most cases is ready to go once we get barrels. The lowers are all completely assembled. It takes about 30 minutes to do the final assembly of the upper, then the gun can be test fired. Assuming no issues with the guns operation, it is ready to go.

It turns out that DOS is the hold up on the Proof barrels. Our license application exceeded 1 million dollars so requires a congressional hearing to be approved, which could take several more months. We are working on getting what is currently ready to go which is far under the 1 million dollar figure shipped on another license in order to expedite this. This additional license will cost us $$ but hopefully will get the barrels up here sooner.

Thank you for all the hard work! Eagerly awaiting my Modern Hunter which i would imagine is being held up by the same Proof barrel issue. Thank you for the updates!

That would be ideal thanks for the heads up!
P.S. if by some miracle the barrels came through before xmas I'd sacrifice a goat in your honor.

Any news on the DOS holdup on the proof barrels?

How about the prototype for a second caliber upper? Still working away? Any progress?

Expect you're busy with the pre-Christmas rush, looking forward to getting my rifle when the barrels are able to cross the border.

Welllllll. As a matter of fact we just heard that our export permit was approved today, so barrels should be shipped out next week. Some guns might actually be done by Christmas.

Alternate calibers are still being worked on. We can be making prototypes or building the guns that are ordered, just not both at the same time.

I hope for a 6.8 SPC.

Great news guys!!! Looking forward to getting my MV sometime soon - great timing btw, should have it in time for some coyote hunting later this winter :)

I am not saying no, but am saying not likely unless bolts and mags can be sourced. So far our inquiries to those who manufacture these 2 critical parts have not been favorable.
6.5 Grendel is more likely as bolts and mags are easier to source, and at a much more reasonable cost.

Interesting. 6.8 SPC still seems to be more common than 6.5 Grendel for ammo availability and sales, but 300 BO seems to be much more common than both. Doesn't matter to me really, either 6.5/6.8 would suit my needs for a deer rifle.
