The wait is painful (UPDATE page 4)

Just clean it well and shoot it. No sense putting more wear in your barrel for nothing.

I like that attitude!!
Can you believe my luck...
Here is the story really quick, Something like 6 months ago I order this gun thinking couple weeks or so for delivery. I find out it has to be ordered from Savage, Okay maybe a month. I find out after they order it from Savage should be built near end of August. No problem, just gives me more time to save for it ( won't need the credit card to pay for it.) Customs, then to the company I ordered it from, then to me ...early to mid Sept. Ok no problem, I can wait.."patience is good donkey" (Shrek like accent in head with that one!!) 13th Oct. I finally get the call, "Gun and scope are here come pick them up!! Then a call 10 minutes later, "They forgot to send your scope rings with the order." Aaaargggh ...Ok I can wait when will they be in? About a week but you can go and buy them anywhere, BD." "No", I say, "I ordered from you ,I can wait!"
I get all set up and am looking forward to shooting today, The wife and I go to the range and find out there is a PITA shoot this weekend and the entire range is closed to all shooting except them until Monday.
I'm gonna cry... but because I'm a big manly man I can't just openly cry so I have to hit my thumb with a hammer really hard or cut some onions or something. Is it wrong to go into the walk in gun locker and lock the door behind me then cry?!?!?!
What is the protocol? Anyone?

Make sure your scope is mounted properly; line up the reticle to a string from the ceiling to make sure the reticle (and rifle) are plumb to the ground (gravity).

Very important for making your corrections true!
