The wax slug

at 2.38 on the bottom video as the round is heading to the target it is tumbling in the air or are my eyes deceiving me . i would be cautious of using these rounds as the shot contained in the wax may not compress as it is passing through the choke and may cause grief . this is pure speculation on my part but murphy may be closer than you think.i will let others experiment.

That sounds like a worrisome theory, but why would that be an issue for a cylinder-bore barrel?

I'll hold off until trying these until someone explains it to me, but you don't shoot slugs from a choked barrel and I would assume the same applies here. If you have a cylinder bore barrel, then there should be no compression right?

Ha if you guys think wax slugs are dangerous to fire.... take a look at cut shell vids...... we are talking the whole forward half of the shell going out the barrel lol. Full choke wouldn't hurt a thing on the wax slugs.

I think it is the wad you are seeing, but I took a close look at full screen and couldn't confirm the stability of the slug itself from that view. I wouldn't shoot them through a full choke, but modified or looser would be ok, IMO (which is worth what was paid for it in this case).

Says who? Many people find the best accuracy with slugs to come from IC or Mod chokes. It is perfectly safe to shoot rifled slugs out of a choked barrel and has been for many decades.
