The "What Have You Reloaded Today" thread

AS molds Paradox shotgun slugs. They are powder coated a pleasant blue and sitting on Svarog special tail wads. I have them loaded in new cheddite hulls with 34, 35, 36, and 37 grains of Longshot. Roll crimping to top it off. Due to try them out soon. I think these are going to tenderize my shoulder.

Loaded 20 rounds of .30-06 , Winchester PP 180gr SP, 49.1gn Vihtavouri N550,SB LR Primer, used lee dipper 3.4 leveled

Loaded 20 rounds of .30-06 , Hornady 165gr SP, 50.2gn Vihtavouri N550,SB LR Primer, used lee dipper 3.4 not leveled (but not heaping)

Sometimes I like to reload old school… by volume.

With September upon us, made some hunting rounds.

For the (this year's) deer rifle,

PXL_20220902_183952230.jpg
20 rounds of .56-50 for Spencer carbine. 350gr bullet (from JetBullets), 9gr Trailboss, Starline brass, CCI large rifle primers
(Note this is for a reproduction, not original, Spencer, that is rated for smokeless)

.56-50 next to a .44 magnum, for size comparison

For this year's small game rifle (no caliber restrictions where I hunt),

PXL_20220902_184243207.jpg
40 rounds of .32 S&W (short), 92gr cast (not sure where they're from, got them in trade), 1 gr Bullseye, cut down .32 S&W long brass, CCI small pistol primers.
These are for a Remington rolling block rifle, originally .32RF converted to .32S&W.

Size comparison with .22LR

And, finally, if I decide to use the more conventional .308 instead,

30 rounds of .308Win, 150gr Barnes TTSX, 42gr Varget, reprocessed various brass, CCI Large Rifle primers

40 rounds of 7mm-08 , A 140gr PPSN from Woodleigh in FC brass, Fed primer and 40gr "2208" mate.... kimber fodder.

down to under 200 woodleighs....which aught to do me 3-4 years-- so they should be making them again by then

Converted some 7.5x55 Swiss GP11 brass to boxer primer today. I did a test of two yesterday and they worked fine so hopefully this batch is good. Just got done trimming them and tossed them in the tumbler to get the case lube off. Not sure if I'll get to loading them tonight though.

Just reloaded 10 rounds of 7x57r for my Brno 304 combo gun! Norma brass, fed 210 primers, 175gn old school Hornady round nose over 48gn of RL19, AOCL IS 3.170(or so)!! Go to the range tomorrow evening to see what I will get!!

Just made up 50 cases for my 375 Whelan Ackley improved, should be loaded and ready to fireform when the build is done in the next month

Loaded 100 rounds of 243 using 100 grain Sierra bullets and 36.2 grains of IMR 4064
I haven’t loaded 243 in many years so used old stock components
How’s 15.95 / 100 for bullets and 17.50 per pound for powder
Winchester large rifle primers at 29.90 / 1000
I guess it paid off to stock up years ago and keep the powder dry

Loaded up some .30-06 cartridges for a ladder test. Shooting 175gr Barnes LRX over StaBALL 6.5. 3 each at 53, 54, 55, and 56 grains. Winchester MGLR primers. One red pill at 56.5gr. All loaded to 3.340" COAL. There's no published data for this powder/bullet combo so we'll see how it goes.

Loaded 20 used one!

The "used" bullet went lengthwise through a moose and was recovered in the off shoulder.
