Trying a new recipe for the 338 Lapua , 250g Interlocks with Retumbo powder .
I have about 350 of these projectiles , couple of lbs each of Retumbo , IMR7828 ,IMR 4831 and some US869 .
Figured i would try Retumbo this time around as ive never used this powder before .
Loaded 4 x 92g, 4x 93g, 4 x 94g ,4 x ,95g and 4 x 96g for now , just for trial .
Also loaded 30 x110g Pro Hunter for my 270 WSM .

A few test rounds of 458win mag 4 starting load to get the hang of it and then 4 more in one grain increments, 500gn Hornady RN from the red and white box era on top of H335….

I processed a bucket of 9mm brass (it was wet tumbled clean so I lubed it before depriming / resizing it). Guessing around 3000 pieces.

Then I loaded 350 5.56 75gr BTHPs

Loaded up a bunch of 30-06 for my first M1 Garand that's on the way. Found some old NRA & CMP load suggestions

150 Grain FMJ
- 48 Grains Win 748
- 49 Grains of Varget
- 49 Grains of IMR4895

168 Grain SMK
- 47 & 47.5 Grains of Varget
- 48 & 48.5 Grains of IMR4895

I cant to take the M1 out to the range. Time to hunt down some more 30-06 brass

Annnnnd it's gone. 500rds thru the CZ in the last 2 weeks. Officially out of bullets and down to a few sleeves of primers. Which the price said 49.99.

Busy in the reloading room this week. Reloaded a bunch of different 308 loads, some 30-06 Improved, some 300 Win Mag, started on some 6mm Remington. - dan

Reloading for my son's Tikka varmint 243 today. These newer 243's are 1:8 twist and the throat is quite long. At an OAL of 2.807" I am .030" off. Tried a few different powders with the same OAL, N555, N565, staball 6.5 and Hybrid 100v. Hybrid gave me the best velocity and group @ 100yrds. I will stretch it out a bit tomorrow and see if it holds together. These groups were not shot with the same powder charge as I was doing an OCW but the groups surprised me! The hybrid 100 powder test group ranged from 41.7-42.1 with a 108ELDM this was my final powder test for this powder and I will be going with 41.8gr.
